The Opportunity:
We are seeking experienced Manager, Application Development to join our growing team and have a strong preference for this position to be based at our worldwide corporate headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, FL. In this role, the Manager of Application Development is responsible for the team that develops the front-end and back-end services that power CloudHesive’s SaaS-based Cloud Management Platform, Centricity.
What you’ll be doing:
Lead and grow the team of accountable and focused application developers to build, enhance and maintain our Centricity platform.
Stay abreast of business of business strategy, goals, objectives, and operational performance of internal and customer facing SaaS platforms and applications.
Responsible for escalating, assisting and follow-through on resolution of issues related to delivery of technology solutions and features.
Accountable for gaining and maintaining alignment of delivery success criteria with SaaS product managers.
Accountable for effective project management and delivery of backlog and projects within committed budget, schedule and quality for individual projects while also meeting overall department performance goals.
Accountable for identifying needs, securing commitments and monitoring progress of deliverables from internal teams in the US and Argentina.
Accountable for ensuring technology solutions comply with architectural standards that you have set for the team.
Responsible for communication of progress to senior IT and Business leadership
Responsible for organizing and maintaining performance of any application issues in accordance with agreed SLA.
Accountable for maximizing the productivity of the applications staff and the maintainability of software systems, keeps abreast of new technologies, incorporates those technologies when appropriate and motivates others to utilize them.
Responsible for the development and integration of our platform and working with the support teams to build processes to support customer facing SaaS products.
Ensure IT application development process disciplines (solution delivery, project management, work requests, QA, etc.) and standards are established, effectively managed, and performed.
Provide technical or functional guidance to project or work teams as needed within a specific discipline at meeting tight deadlines and testing applications thoroughly to meet usability specifications.
Be the Subject matter expert for our Centricity SaaS platform and modules
Is this role for you?
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; and/or 8 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in leading the development of a Multitenant SaaS platform servicing multiple geographies (localization) and personas (technical and non-technical) based on AWS based services (serverless and containerized), with a focus on tenantization, quality/reliability and scale.
Experience in the non-functional requirements related to a SaaS platform including market analysis versus backlog prioritization, billing models (and integration), entitlement and feature testing methodologies (feature flags, A/B, etc.), customer/tenant lifecycle management and demo data management.
Experience in application of the AWS Well Architected Framework (or a related framework)
Experience in leading the implementation of both the technical tools and organizational changes required to support use of software version control, automated quality, security and compliance review, build/deploy pipelines and test automation.
Experience in producing documentation as a design, to be used for the build of a solution, internal support documentation for a solution that has been delivered as well as end user facing documentation.
Experience in growing a team of developers from a personal growth and leadership perspective as well as setting standards around architecture and best practices.
Experience in SaaS platform operations including monitoring (business operations, technical operations, performance, events, metrics, tracing and security), platform event systems, backup and recovery/high availability/disaster recovery and scaling.
Experience in security integration (AAA models, SAML, LDAP), application integration (system to system, user to system, security/AAA), data tiering, session management.
Periodically engage with the technical community via Pull Requests, Blog Posts, Social Media, Webinars, Meet Ups, etc.
Attain and/or Retain relevant Certifications
Commit to continuous learning via reading technical documentation, participating in Webinars or other such events.
