When someone asks what Tech Hub South Florida actually does, the easy answer is: we build the tech community in this region.
The longer answer is that we operate the infrastructure—the Slack community, the advocacy, the talent programming, and the connective tissue—that a real tech ecosystem needs but doesn’t get from any single company or government agency. Our largest single event, the 14th Annual Golf Invitational, funds a meaningful slice of that work.

The Regional Operating System
Your foursome, sponsorship, or lunch ticket on May 8 isn’t just a donation—it’s an investment in the regional operating system for South Florida tech. Over the last five years, this corridor has attracted billions in venture capital and corporate relocations. This didn’t happen by accident; it required the unglamorous community-building work that your participation funds.
What the Tournament Actually Funds
- Our 6,000+ Member Slack Community: One of the largest regional tech Slacks in the country where founders hire, engineers find mentors, and companies scale.
- Year-Round Programming: Monthly meetups and specialized tracks for product leaders, engineers, and founders that would otherwise be priced out of reach.
- Workforce and Talent Initiatives: Partnerships that connect emerging tech talent from local universities and bootcamps with high-growth employers.
- Advocacy and Policy: Representing industry interests at state levels to ensure a regulatory environment where tech can scale.

The Case for Investing, Not Donating
If your company’s growth depends on a functional regional tech ecosystem, supporting that infrastructure is an R&D expense. The companies most engaged in our community consistently hire faster and retain talent longer. By joining us at Plantation Preserve (7050 West Broward Blvd, Plantation, FL 33317), you are helping power the next decade of momentum.
