As a Director of IT Infrastructure Services, your primary responsibilities will be:
Team, Infrastructure, and Security Oversight Technical acumen including but not limited to: OSI Model, IT infrastructure, cloud computing, data storage, tools and frameworks, database technologies, web technologies, network architecture, enterprise architecture, directory services, and containers.
Establishes service level agreements and monitors progress toward key service performance indicators (KPI’s) or metrics both internally and for partners/vendors.
Manages the development and delivery of IT standards, best practices, architecture and systems to ensure information system security & core system uptime and availability across the enterprise.
Oversee the selection, development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and enhancement of the company’s technology infrastructure.
Stays current in technological trends and proactively provides technology recommendations.
Supports the Cyber Security team in the planning and implementation of security standards, practices and procedures to ensure system security and legal compliance.
Assist staff in developing methods and processes to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and security of the network services, desktop support and user support functions.
Balance operational tasks with long-term strategic technology and security initiatives.
Team Management and Growth
Oversees the daily operations of the Cloud Services and Network Services sub departments within the Technology Department.
Communicates job expectations, plans, monitors, and appraises job results. Coaches, counsels, and disciplines associates. Maintains staff, trains associates, develops personal growth opportunities, manages timecards.
Effectively communicates and supports company strategic plans and standards.
Is a consensus builder and persuasive leader with a strong commitment to teamwork and knowledge sharing who effectively communicates technical concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
Vendor Management Manages vendor relationships ensuring that service levels and vendor obligations are met.
Holds vendors & partners accountable to SLA and contractual agreements.
Project Management Project manager on assigned technology projects.
Researches alternatives, identifies and designs solutions, and presents plans for approval.
Coordinates and manages work schedule assignments for stakeholders to complete projects by assigned deadline.
Manages and works closely with vendors, executing plans and making sure projects are completed on time.
Prioritizes work efforts to balance operational tasks with long-term strategic initiatives.
Network Infrastructure and Server Infrastructure Performance Monitoring Monitors the performance, reliability, availability, and security of the network and server infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wireless, Network switches, and servers).
Reviews reports and runs diagnostic tests to ensure the environment is performing optimally.
Identifies any issues preventing optimal performance and takes corrective action.
Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security controls.
Takes corrective actions on reported vulnerabilities to secure infrastructure.
Responsible for proactive and reactive DR / HA testing across all core infrastructure and computing platforms (IBMi, Network, Cloud, Datacenters, Servers).
Additional duties and responsibilities as a Director of IT Infrastructure Services:
Telecommunications Network Management Ensures the availability of the telecommunications network (voice over IP, wireless, and hardwired networks) and telecommunication applications.
Reviews and reconciles monthly invoices and submits for approval and payment.
Meets with third party vendor representatives regularly to review and resolve issues.
Financial Objectives Departmental budget management and oversight.
Reviews, codes, and submits all IT Invoices for processing. Analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions.
Evaluates vendors for cost reductions opportunities.
Processes department time tracking and manages overtime.
Adheres to all assigned Standard Work and Role and Responsibilities for your role.
