The Atlassian Systems Administrator will be responsible for the technical operation and administration, maintenance, integration and roll out of enterprise-wide Atlassian-based solutions: Jira, Confluence, related integrations/plug-ins. This role will support agile teams and technical leaders on administering complex Jira environments, Jira integrations and building high-quality systems in support of business operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Create, lead, and support all administrative functions and support plug-in integrations.
Set, document, communicate, and enforce Atlassian product standards with input from technical and product leadership. Setting and expanding best practices and creating a collaborative environment.
Design/Implement complex Jira workflows, project workflows, field /screen configurations, screen/permission/notification schemes, Confluence spaces, and reporting, and provide ongoing support and configuration maintenance.
Create and maintain scripts to integrate Jira with other tools and to perform advanced functions.
Work with Agile development teams to optimize, align and integrate processes; work with business units to integrate their applications/processes as appropriate.
Accountable for ensuring platform stability and availability of the platform.
Education & Experience
Level of Formal Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Area of Study: Information Systems, Business Management or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Years of Experience: Minimum 8 year experience in related field
Type of Experience: Working with Atlassian products required, minimum 2 years of Jira Administration required; minimum 2 years of Confluence Administration preferred.
Technical Competencies:
Experience with distributed development/business teams that span multiple geographies, time zones, and cultures required.
Experience with software development and product lifecycles, including both predictive and adaptive (Agile), approaches required.
Good understanding of CI/CD practices and the use of Atlassian tools for release planning, management, and tracking.
Experience with Aha using Aha integration feature.
