Position Overview:
South Florida Tech Hub is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Events Intern to join our team. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience in event management and operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to the success of our events. This is a part-time internship with a commitment of 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating event logistics: calling venues and creating event pages
- Manage and update event calendars, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct research on various topics and products relevant to upcoming events.
- Utilize Google Forms and Docs to organize data and streamline processes.
- Create and review draft event pages, ensuring content accuracy and consistency.
- Assist in developing draft agendas for event days, incorporating input from stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members to generate thoughtful questions for panel discussions.
- Provide general administrative support as needed.
Recommended Qualifications:
- Ability to travel to various locations within South Florida; having access to a car is preferred.
- Residing locally in South Florida
- Interest in hospitality and operations
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and respond promptly to inquiries.
- Availability to commit to 20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate event schedules.
