Position Overview:

South Florida Tech Hub is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Events Intern to join our team. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience in event management and operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to the success of our events. This is a part-time internship with a commitment of 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in coordinating event logistics: calling venues and creating event pages
• Manage and update event calendars, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Conduct research on various topics and products relevant to upcoming events.
• Utilize Google Forms and Docs to organize data and streamline processes.
• Create and review draft event pages, ensuring content accuracy and consistency.
• Assist in developing draft agendas for event days, incorporating input from stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team members to generate thoughtful questions for panel discussions.
• Provide general administrative support as needed.

Recommended Qualifications:

• Ability to travel to various locations within South Florida; having access to a car is preferred.
• Residing locally in South Florida
• Interest in hospitality and operations
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and respond promptly to inquiries.
• Availability to commit to 20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate event schedules.
