Simplifying Enterprise Mobility

The Logistics Manager is responsible for Social Mobile’s inventory management and domestic & international shipping programs. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver with supply chain, transportation, and inventory management experience. Partnering with our operations and transportation carrier partners and using our internal ERP system, the Logistics Manager will oversee and report on all operational metrics, inventory and build systems for effective shipping and inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and track shipments
  • Manage tariff compliance and customs clearance
  • Perform inventory audits
  • Maintain RMA & Warranty claim logs and ticketing
  • Manage the inflow and outflow of product inventory with ERP system
  • Create delivery forecasts
  • Manage client’s delivery expectations and requirements
  • Manage and maintain transportation carrier relationships
  • Negotiate rates with transportation carriers for optimal shipment methods and pricing
  • Manage spare parts procurement and threshold with 3PL repair center
  • Report, monitor and improve operational metrics
  • Manage insurance needs

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in Logistics, Transportation, Inventory Management or Warehousing
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central Dynamics 365 ERP and TMS systems
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Sharp attention to detail
  • Ability to lift 15+ pounds

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field
  • APICS Certification (CSCP/CPIM)
