We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Product department. As the Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the software platform for all Social Mobile products. Supporting all products and software builds, you will work with key teams to partner with ODM partners on Core Mobile Platforms, and be responsible for setting up the Build Environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage software development: Provide triage and log analysis for any reported software issues.
- Debug and fix any reported software issues with our products.
- Ensure software quality is aligned to our client expectations by identifying areas of testing and monitoring execution.
- Define the roadmap for both Android Platform and Modem based on the defined product roadmap.
- Effective communication with stakeholders on any project delays, budget, Quality etc.
- Build server: Create a Build Environment on the Cloud Server to mimic the expectation from ODM.
- Create builds as required and deliver to internal and external stake holders.
- Engaging with software team: Work with internal and external 3rd party software teams.
- Coordinate with teams across multiple projects by setting KPIs, defining tasks and providing appropriate direction.
- Employees will be required to adhere to Social Mobile’s information security policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer Design and Development in similar consumer product industry working with global partners and US based team members
- Expert technical knowledge of Android ecosystems: Android OS, Apps, Frameworks, Kernel
- Proficient in the following languages – C/C++, Java , Python, Makefiles
- Knowledge of software engineering tools, such as Android Studio, Visual Code, Jira
- Familiarity with Cellular technologies, including 5G, LTE
- Familiarity with Qualcomm chipsets and tools, such as QFIL, QXDM, PCAT
- 2+ years of experience working in a technical, product development environment
- Strong product and process knowledge
- Exemplary attention to detail and clear and effective written and verbal communication
- Excellent problem resolution and critical thinking skills
- Must be a US Citizen
