What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic IT consulting firm. As a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in helping our clients leverage the full potential of Amazon Web Services (AWS) to drive innovation, optimize infrastructure, and deliver robust cloud solutions. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about cloud technologies and possesses a strong track record of designing, implementing, and managing complex AWS environments.

 

Position Overview:

As a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer, you will be a key member of our cloud engineering team, responsible for designing, implementing, and managing AWS-based solutions for clients. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping cloud strategies, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of AWS environments, and driving innovation through the adoption of best practices and cutting-edge technologies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Architect and Design: Collaborate with clients to define and architect AWS solutions that meet their business objectives. Develop comprehensive cloud architectures that address scalability, performance, and security requirements.
Implementation: Lead the deployment and configuration of AWS services and resources, ensuring they align with client needs and industry best practices. This includes infrastructure as code (IAC) development using tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
Management: Manage and maintain AWS environments, providing ongoing support and optimization. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to ensure high availability and performance.
Security: Implement and enforce security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, encryption, and compliance. Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Automation: Implement automation solutions using AWS Lambda, EC2 Auto Scaling, and other automation tools to streamline operations and reduce manual tasks.
Monitoring and Logging: Set up robust monitoring and logging solutions using AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and other relevant tools to proactively identify and address issues.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and incident reports.
Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their unique requirements, provide guidance, and ensure their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Research and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest AWS technologies and industry trends. Propose and implement innovative solutions that enhance the performance and capabilities of AWS environments.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Must have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer focusing on AWS, including architecture, implementation, and management.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification(s) preferred.
Strong proficiency with AWS core services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
Expertise in infrastructure as code (IAC) and automation using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Chef.
Solid knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in AWS environments.
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Willingness to stay updated with the latest AWS developments and obtain additional certifications as required.

 

Qualifications:

A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in cloud engineering with a focus on AWS.
Proven success in architecting, deploying, and managing AWS environments for enterprise-level clients.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects, work independently, and mentor junior team members.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing client needs.
A passion for continuous learning and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
