ModMed is hiring a driven Senior Software Engineer to be part of our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, designing, and implementing identity solutions that ensure the security and scalability of our platform. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers in the team and cross-functional teams to integrate identity services seamlessly across our products and drive innovation in the IAM space within a fast-paced Healthcare IT company that is truly Modernizing Medicine!

Your Role:

  • Design & build secure, scalable IAM solutions using OAuth, SAML & industry standards.
  • Implement, customize & optimize Keycloak for peak performance & security.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Champion IAM best practices, and drive adoption across the organization.
  • Continuously learn & evaluate emerging trends & technologies in the IAM space.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 6+ years of industry experience with a focus on identity and access management.
  • Expertise in OAuth, SAML, and other authentication and authorization protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with Keycloak or similar IAM platforms,
  • Strong Java / Spring Boot / SQL experience.
  • Experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with OWASP, NIST standards and frameworks.
  • Certifications in identity and access management (e.g., CIAM, CISA, CISSP) are a plus
