DSS, Inc. a software development company for the healthcare industry is seeking a Manager, Clinical Applications Analyst, who will be our subject matter expert on Commercial EHR software applications. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team that implements, trains and supports assigned clinical software applications for our external and internal customers. Clinical license is required for this position. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Duties:

  • Develop and maintain in depth understanding of assigned software applications
  • Leads the creation and maintenance of internal and external documentation and implementation tools
  • Assists the Project manager and leadership to lead in customer implementations
  • Assign and lead in configuration management responsibilities
  • Participate in process to validate product deployment program
  • Accountable to comply with implementation standards and guidelines.
  • Complete, submit and present product and project documentation required for the assigned responsibilities
  • Provide support of software applications to the customer base through the established support processes
  • Provide on-call and off hours support services as assigned and scheduled
  • Provide call center and implementation command center coverage as scheduled
  • Perform product demonstrations as assigned

Other Duties:

  • Participate in process improvement opportunities facilitated by PMO management to tailor implementation and support processes to meet the needs of Vendors/ External Clients
  • Travels as needed, including weekend travel when necessary (abiding by DSS established travel guidelines)
  • Participate in product sales opportunities as required
  • Travel up to 50% of the year, unassisted via common carrier or personal auto, as directed by Management or needs of the product or client warrants

SECURITY AND PRIVACY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high-risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training

Qualifications

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Required:

  • 5+ years of practical professional experience in application maintenance and implementation
  • 4+ years of customer facing professional services
  • Prefer Clinical background and experience in a Patient care setting
  • Ability to manage and lead a team
  • Possess strong coaching, employee onboarding skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze the business and workflow needs and align to software functionality
  • Ability to work effectively (maintaining accuracy and sensitivity) under tight timelines and schedules.
  • Ability to work from an organizational perspective as well as a team leader and as a contributing team member.
  • Ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Possess exceptional skills in partnering with staff from multiple departments and in developing and maintaining long-term supportive relationships.
  • Ability to organize time effectively while identifying barriers to progress, proposing solutions and setting priorities.
  • Ability to be effective in a rapidly growing organization.

  • Experience in the clinical, administrative or technical specialty related to the healthcare industry
  • Experience in a customer service or sales role in the healthcare industry
  • Experience working in a similar role for a software development vendor
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio).
  • Possess excellent listening skills and a commitment to communicating in a clear, concise and timely manner at all times.
  • Possess proven aptitude for understanding technical and business process and the ability to learn new software as assigned
