Quality Assurance Automation Engineer, Jr.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts in a prioritized and standardized manner as identified by the Quality Assurance Manager, Director and Product Line Manager. Coordinates and organizes automating and verification of assigned products to ensure the delivery of top-level software products to external clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Duties:

Candidate must have minimum 1 years of hands on Selenium (WebDriver) coding experience in creating functions, methods using C#, Java, Java Script or Groovy language
Write, execute and monitor automated test suites (Selenium, Katalon Studio, Appium)
Work closely with QA/Developers and review/create business requirements, inputting test scripts and test scenarios
Reviews regression test scripts written by QA staff
Participates in automation status calls with team members and management
Supports and understands products assigned
Possesses good verbal and written communication skills
Participates in assigned internal QA projects
Monitors day-to-day activities and workloads of assigned Product Line (PL), QA staff
Provides weekly metrics to management
Adjusts timelines/requests based on resource allocations
Assists with and certifies validity of cross training
Monitors the verification of product functionality

Other Duties:

Maintains working relationships with all internal departments
Participates in presentations as Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Skills Required:

Candidate must be a team player and work closely with web automation department to build/support web automation framework
Candidate must have minimum 1 years of hands on Selenium (WebDriver) coding experience in creating functions, methods using C#, Java, Java Script or Groovy language
1-2 years of experience analyzing, designing and implementing integration solutions using TFS, VSTS technologies or related technologies, and 3+ years overall IT
Key technology experience in areas such as C#, AngularJS, REST, JSON, Node and VS 2015
Knowledge of Continuous Integration (DevOps) tools (Open Source or commercially available such as TFS, VSTS, Git or Docker)
Knowledge of Page Object Model design, Behavioral Drive Design (BDD) and Test Drive Design (TDD)
Has verifiable experience with QA software testing tools
Proficient in the Software Development Life Cycle
Prioritizes, manages time and is detail oriented
Possesses analytical and problem-solving skills
Education:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information
Combination of education and experience can be substituted for a formal degree
Experience:

Required:

1+ years’ experience as a QA Automation Engineer and 2+ years as a QA Analyst
Desired:

Previous experience in utilizing automation tools such as:
Katalon Studio;
Automation Anywhere;
Quick Test Pro;
Selenium;
Knowledge of programming languages
