GrowFL is pleased to announce the finalists for its 14th Annual GrowFL Florida Companies to Watch Awards. This prestigious program honors high-growth, second-stage companies demonstrating exceptional innovation and potential for future success.
GrowFL is driven by one goal – to cultivate second-stage growth companies across the state. Second-stage companies are the backbone of Florida’s economy and the definition of economic success and prosperity. Our programs provide connections with other second-stage company leaders, and to professional organizations whose expertise, experience, and products lead to the second-stage company’s continued growth and prosperity, resulting in the diversification and growth of Florida’s economy. Second-stage growth companies have at least 6 employees and $750 thousand in revenue and possess the intent and desire to grow beyond second-stage.
Sponsored by Nperspective CFO & Strategic Services and in partnership with the Edward Lowe Foundation, the GrowFL Florida Companies to Watch award recognizes businesses that significantly contribute to Florida’s economic vitality. These companies have overcome challenges, displayed strong leadership, and fostered innovation, making a positive impact on their communities and industries.
“We are excited to recognize these outstanding companies,” said Pete Previte, Chair of GrowFL. “Their achievements exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit that drives Florida’s economy forward. These finalists inspire us all with their dedication to innovation and growth.”
To be eligible, companies must employ between 6 and 150 people and generate between $750,000 and $100 million in revenue in 2023. More than 500 nominations were received from more than 60 organizations throughout Florida. A rigorous selection process narrowed the applicants for this year’s award to an impressive group of finalists. Together, these finalist companies employ more than 3,700 people and generated over $1 billion in revenue last year. They anticipate a combined 27% revenue growth and 31% job increase by the end of 2024.
Marius Dobren, Chair of the GrowFL Florida Companies to Watch Committee, added, “This year’s finalists showcase the remarkable resilience and creativity of Florida’s entrepreneurs. Their achievements in a dynamic business landscape inspire others to reach for excellence. As a marketplace for entrepreneurs by entrepreneurs, the GrowFL community is delighted to celebrate this year’s finalists and look forward to announcing the top 50 Honorees in October.”
Hailing from Orlando, Florida, the GrowFL brand and awards have been more prominent in the Central Florida region, but over the recent years have grown in popularity in both North and South Florida as well. This year, with just under 100 finalists, we are proud to say that almost 30% are represented in South Florida. Most are within the Miami-Metro region which inlcudes Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, but a few have popped up in South Florida’s Treasure Coast region as well.
“We are honored to be a GrowFL Florida Companies to Watch finalist! Since our 2018 Miami launch, we’ve been committed to South Florida’s tech growth. This recognition reflects our dedication to innovation and community. Thank you, and congrats to the other finalists—let’s keep driving Florida’s future!” Brittany Fox, Co-Founder & CEO of Focus GTS.
The top 50 Honorees will be celebrated at the awards ceremony on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Hard Rock Live, Universal CityWalk in Orlando. The awards ceremony will be a highlight of the year, featuring networking opportunities, inspiring presentations, and recognition of the 50 Honorees.
