eMerge Americas is proud to team up with Wyncode, South Florida’s leading code educator, for the 2017 eMerge Americas Hackathon. This year’s Hackathon is all about showcasing the eMerging MiamiTech scene and the incredible developers in the ecosystem. Both startups and individuals are welcome to sign up and one team will win a chance to hang out with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak in addition to cash prizes up to $6,000!

The Hackathon takes place Saturday, June 10th starting at 8 am through Sunday, June 11th at 2 pm at Wynbase, Wyncode’s brand new code campus in the heart of Wynwood. The Hackathon runs for 24 hours.

Why Sign Up?

Each team that participates in the Hackathon will have the chance to win awesome prizes, including $6,000 in cash and a meet and greet with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. Throughout the event, participants will get the chance to hang out and code with the best developers, companies, and startups in South Florida. All 24 hours of the event will be spent in the brand new, state of the art Wynbase code school campus in the hearth of downtown Wynwood. And to top it all off, food will be provide, including lots of snacks, drinks, and caffeine.

 

How to Sign Up

Company Teams

Groups of up to five (5) current employees of a single company can form a team for the Hackathon, and join by:

  • Registering using the “Company” ticket and inviting up to four (4) additional coworkers to the group
  • Joining a group via an invitation from a coworker
  • Joining a group by searching for a Company Team name

Free Agents

If you would like to join the Hackathon outside of a company team, you will need to register as a Free Agent. You will then need to pass a coding challenge to receive an invitation to the Hackathon. If invited, you will be allowed to form a team with other free agents the day of the Hackathon, or you will be randomly assigned to a team.
