Lars joins The Silver Logic from ZF Group, where he served as Manager of Digital Engineering & Business Development in Florida for the Industrial Technologies division. There, he led autonomous boating initiatives, launched ZF’s first B2C boating app using computer vision and data crowdsourcing, and drove startup communications. Lars also implemented business intelligence systems, boosting efficiency, and established the Innovations Hub Florida, enhancing ZF’s digital presence in the US. As an ambassador for ZF, the world’s second-largest automotive supplier, he advanced AI and digital product initiatives.
Before his tenure at the Florida location for ZF Group, Lars served as Digital Champion for the Marine & Special Driveline Technology Business Unit at ZF Group’s HQ in Friedrichshafen, Germany. In this role, he identified new business opportunities beyond core operations, managing multidisciplinary, international teams in developing IoT software, hardware prototypes, and innovative business cases. Lars led projects from concept to product launch, including the Smart Typeplate and connect@rail systems. Additionally, he represented the business unit in ZF’s global Digitalization and Cloud architecture expert council and managed the ZF-Schaeffler cooperation for rail projects.

Lars Hoffmann holds several patents, has been awarded two scholarships, and has been an active member of global expert councils. He has also advised several startups, won multiple internal ZF Group awards, and represented Germany twice at the FINA Swimming World Cup. Lars Hoffmann holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Project Management from Steinbeis University Berlin and an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology in Washington.
