Florida Power & Light is looking for a talented individual to lead the Enterprise Agile Transformation.
The Enterprise Agile Coach will be engaged with multiple lines of business as we continue our agile transformation. This includes working with Senior Management to plan the organizational structure to support an Agile Transformation, working with Architecture leaders to plan and transition to an Agile approach to Enterprise Architecture, working with testing leaders to create and mentor teams in Agile testing approaches.
Responsibilities of the Enterprise Agile Coach:
- Facilitate the learning and adoption of Agile principles and practices with teams, and managers, as they gain insights and experience with
- Agile methods and practices
- Guide teams in tracking and monitoring of metrics and reporting to facilitate inspect and adapt
- Embrace continuous self-development; Agile standards and practices, coaching skills, integral Agile and scaled Agile, to coach others as transformation expands
- Provide support for the development of a sustainable Enterprise Agile Framework
- Provide guidance on creating Agile artifacts
- Assist in Agile Iteration and Release Planning
- Assist in resolving organizational impediments that prevent Agile teams from completing sprint commitments
Requirements of the Enterprise Agile Coach:
- At least 5 years of Agile coaching experience with teams that are new to Agile practices
- At least 5 years of experience delivering Agile projects with a variety of methods (Scrum, XP, TDD, Kanban, SAFe, Lean, etc.)
- 8+ years experience in technology working with large organization Senior Leadership roles (Director level and above)
- Proficiency with multiple Agile Life Cycle Management tools
- Understands the value and execution of effective Agile engineering practices, such as Continuous Integration, unit testing, code refactoring and simple design principles
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Deep knowledge of Agile principles and practices
- Experience in creating Agile training/workshop material
- World-class communication and facilitation skills
Job Overview
This position guides teams in the execution of agile initiatives to deliver customer value. Employees in this role train and coach in the use of Scrum, Lean, Kanban, XP, and scale agile framework practices.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Trains and coaches leaders, teams, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindset
- Contributes in Communities of Practice (CoP), within the agile network
- Promotes and encourages collaboration and transparency and builds trusting relationships between business, delivery, and other entities within the organization
- Facilitates periodic synchronization meetings across several different onsite and distributed delivery teams
- Prepares program and release backlogs, as well as team and program objectives
- Tracks, promotes, and publishes completed program features and program and team objectives
- Manages risk and dependencies, communicates and escalates impediments to facilitate transparency, and reduces bottlenecks
- Embraces a continuous improvement mindset, and drives the use of agile engineering best practices and innovation
- Reports on standardized program-level metrics, and understands, tracks, and operates within the program budget
- Plays an instrumental role in the organization’s Agile transformation, acts as a change agent, and shows strong leadership skills with a positive and collaborative attitude
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
