We have a wonderful opportunity to join our CITY Furniture technology team. As the Sr DevOps Engineer, the primary function of this position is to work with the Software Engineering team to build and maintain Cloud infrastructure and automation.

This position is also responsible for designing cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS. You will work collaboratively with software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements. You will provide provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code. You will ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools. You will administer and troubleshoot Linux based systems. You will troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas. You will build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems. You will also perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization. You also will build deployment pipeline.

Job Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or related experience

Work Experience and Skills:

5+ years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure

Computer Knowledge (Below is the list of the computer programs and software applications that are required for this position):

  • AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, ECS, CodeDeploy, CloudFront, S3, SQS)
  • Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements
  • Expertise using Ansible for configuration management
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure with Terraform/Cloudformation
  • Solid foundation of networking and Linux administration
  • Experience with Docker, GIT, Jenkins, ELK, Kubernetes and deploying applications on AWS
  • Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
  • Strong bias for action and ownership
